Community to rally on 3rd September

22nd August 2023 (updated on 26th August)

Recently hundreds joined Save Our Edgware to rally against the Broadwalk development plans. Following its success, a second rally will be held on Sunday 3rd September at 2pm - meeting in the Broadwalk car park.

All those who live and love Edgware are encouraged to take part, with families, friends and neighbours of all ages welcome. With the event this time on a weekend, organisers are hoping for an even bigger turnout. Will you be there?

What are Broadwalk development plans?

Ballymore & TfL plan to replace the Broadwalk shopping centre with 3,828 new homes. Over half of the new buildings will be at least 18 floors tall; with 25 tower blocks in the middle of Edgware making our town centre more dense than Manhattan and Canary Wharf. Read more here.

What happens on the rally?

Last time hundreds walked down Station Road, The Drive, The Rise, Hale Lane and ended at the Broadwalk, escorted by police. You can see more here.
